Welcome to the official blog for Beyond Earth: The Indian Space Journey.

My name is Ravi Gopal, and I am the author of Beyond Earth, a work dedicated to documenting the remarkable evolution and future trajectory of India’s space program, led by Indian Space Research Organisation.

My connection to this field is deeply personal. My father, the late Sri A. Gopala Iyer, served at ISRO for over three decades. Growing up in an environment shaped by scientific curiosity and the spirit of space exploration, I developed a lasting interest in understanding and preserving these stories for future generations.

🌍 Expanding Horizons with NASA ARSET

As part of my continued learning journey, I have successfully completed the “Fundamentals of Remote Sensing” certification from the NASA Applied Remote Sensing Training Program (ARSET).

This training has strengthened my understanding of satellite-based Earth observation and its applications in environmental monitoring, climate science, and disaster management. It adds a valuable global perspective to my ongoing work in documenting space science and its real-world impact.
